Statement

Climatology built with the merging of two monthly climatologies from SeaDataNet for the Atlantic region and the Mediterranean Sea. These climatologies (previously created by University of Liege, GeoHydrodynamics and Environment Research), and available through the SeaDatanet portal, have been merged at 0.2º of horizontal spatial resolution while keeping all 33 original vertical levels: -5500.0, -5000.0, -4500.0, -4000.0, -3500.0, -3000.0, -2500.0, -2000.0, -1750.0, -1500.0, -1400.0, -1300.0, -1200.0, -1100.0, -1000.0, -900.0, -800.0, -700.0, -600.0, -500.0, -400.0, -300.0, -250.0, -200.0, -150.0, -125.0, -100.0, -75.0, -50.0, -30.0, -20.0, -10.0, -0.0. Original data come from 1900-2013 field observations, objectivally interpolated using DIVA (Data-Interpolating Variational Analysis) software http://modb.oce.ulg.ac.be/DIVA
